Path of a Master* ▪ Written in his own hand in
1966, this rare document traces Master Hironori Otsuka’s own history of
training in budo, from the earliest days of his youth learning Shindo Yoshin
Ryu, to his development and creation of Wadoryu, and the honors he received
in his later years. Given as a personal gift by Otsuka Sensei himself to
the USEWF’s first President, Sensei Cecil Patterson, the original has
remained sealed and preserved for the past forty years. Professionally
reproduced and numbered on classic parchment paper, only 100 copies of The
Path of a Master are being made available. Suitable for framing, each
edition measures 11″x17″, and is accompanied by the complete translation on
matching parchment, as transcribed by Sensei Kazutaka Otsuka, grandson of
